Winter Proposal at High Hampton Inn - Cashiers, NC Wedding Photographer

Some photos from Kirk’s proposal to Callie this winter at High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, North Carolina. He wanted a secluded location for the proposal, so we decided on the dock just under the back lawn. Though a chilly winter evening in the mountains, we had the dreamiest golden hour light walking around the Inn for post-proposal photos. I was so honored to photograph this sweet proposal!

Summer Proposal at High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, NC

Sharing some photos from Ricky’s proposal to Camryn last summer at High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, NC. Ricky wanted to go with a more secluded setting for the proposal moment so we decided on the “secret” dock just below the back lawn, looking out onto the lake and Rock Mountain. It’s a gorgeous spot for a summer proposal and we had the space all to ourselves. Floressence create a seriously stunning arrangement for the dock with such a unique summery color palette that popped against the lake. I’m always honored and excited to capture this special moment for couples!

Intimate Wedding at Hutchinson House in Highlands, North Carolina

I had so much fun photographing Brooks and Stan’s intimate wedding at Hutchinson House last fall. Hutchinson House is a beautiful, historic home and part of Old Edwards Inn’s properties in Highlands, NC. I am so lucky to live so close to this venue! The location and property was perfect for the flow of Brooks and Stan’s wedding day with their immediate family including their adorable little one! From the historic interiors, to dappled light wrap-around porches, to pristine gardens and rhododendron hedge backdrops, it’s a wedding photographer’s dream location. They got ready and had their ceremony outside under the pergola, adorned with gorgeous fall hued florals by Floressence, then headed right across the street to Sunset Rock for the glowiest, golden sunset portraits. It is pretty incredible to have this direct sunset view only a 5 minute drive away!

This was a beautiful photo gallery and such a sweet, laid back, family centered wedding day that makes me so thankful I get to have clients like Brooks and Stan.

Mountain Wedding in Nantahala, North Carolina | Asheville Wedding Photographer

Dora said she wanted a magical, fairy tail wedding day, and I think that perfectly describes her and Jack’s mountain wedding at Nantahala Weddings & Events. Located just off the lake in Topton, North Carolina, Nantahala Weddings & Events is the perfect solution if you’re wanting a mountain elopement style but would also like your own space to host a ceremony and guests. Over 3 days, I photographed their rehearsal dinner (with incredible wood fired pizza catered by Flat Rock Village Bakery), a wedding day filled with the best bridal party and family & guests that just made you feel right at home, and ended with a day after golden hour portrait session with just Dora and Jack up at Wayah Bald. We captured so many beautiful portraits surrounded by everything that makes Nantahala what it is- rhododendron forests, cascading waterfalls, 5000 ft fire tower lookouts that literally make you feel like you’re in the clouds and breathtaking ceremony views. Most importantly, so many sweet moments with family and friends were documented on their special day.

Summer Proposal at High Hampton Inn | Cashiers, North Carolina Proposal Photographer

I was so happy when Carson reached out to photograph his proposal to Mary Frances. I had recently photographed her family earlier in the year, so it was so sweet to get to document this big moment for them. It was a perfect, late summer day for the proposal moment on the back lawn at High Hampton Inn with Rock Mountain as the backdrop. These two have known each other since they were kids, and the joy on Mary Frances’s face was so evident! There are so many beautiful spaces for portraits around High Hampton’s property. After taking a few around the back lawn and Inn, we ended at the iconic Dahlia garden (in full bloom!!) with their close family waiting to celebrate. What a special and beautiful proposal to photograph!

Christmas Proposal at Old Edwards Inn

Blake’s proposal to Lexie at Old Edwards Inn just in time for Christmas was a true joy to capture. Old Edwards Inn, right in the heart of downtown, Highlands, North Carolina looked like a classic Hallmark movie and bursting with Christmas magic in the mountains. Jon and I are so grateful to have captured photos and video of this proposal for the sweetest couple.

Proposal at Skyline Lodge in Highlands, North Carolina

Loved photographing Brady’s proposal to Kynsley at Skyline Lodge nestled in the mountains in Highlands, North Carolina. Hiding inside the restaurant, I watched Brady take Kynsley out to the back deck to enjoy the mountain view where he then surprised her by getting down on one knee to propose. After capturing this special moment, we meandered around the property for more portraits of the two of them. Skyline is such a fun property for photo sessions…every corner inside and out has so many photo opportunities! And can we talk about Kynsley’s dress…absolute perfection and paired seamlessly with Skyline’s retro aesthetic. I’m so happy I could document this moment for such a sweet couple.

Winter Wedding at High Hampton Inn

I feel so honored Jon and I were able to capture Rachel and Reid’s intimate wedding day at High Hampton Inn in Cashiers, North Carolina. Just before Christmas, Rachel’s vision of white roses with accents of gold and candlelight was stunning amidst High Hampton’s winter mountain backdrop. It was the perfect evening with their close-knit family and friends. As always, it was a pleasure working alongside High Hampton’s incredible team.

Summer Wedding in the Nantahala Mountains

Danielle and Robb’s summer mountain wedding at Nantahala Weddings & Events was a true dream. Nantahala Weddings & Events Venue is nestled in a quieter part of western North Carolina in a peaceful, nature-centered setting. The owners, (mother and daughter team) Jody and Jess are wonderful to work with, kind to vendors and put their heart and soul into their business. I am always so grateful when I get to photograph a couple’s wedding day there! After D & R’s ceremony and a few gorgeous portraits at Chapel in the Sky, we headed off property to the Nantahala Cascades for a few waterfall photos followed by a splash in Lake Nantahala off the boat dock. Love an adventurous couple!
